Is it one that indicts my parents, my abusers, and the teachers who turned a deaf ear and a blind eye to my plight? No, it is not. The Final Move is the story about my struggles with racism, dealing with its residual effects, and the eventual escape from the prison that would entrap me for so long. It's a story of what parents should look for if they elect to send their child to a place, any place, where they are different from everyone else. It's a story about survival and finding strength during the darkest era of my 55 years on the planet. It's about the triumphs of trusting God and the perils of trusting in myself.
