Steve survived the beginning of the zombie apocalypse. Now he has something far more important to do-get Mindy back.
The Family, a violent biker gang that has taken control of Uxbridge, has kidnapped the woman Steve loves. Their leader, Pa, holds Steve responsible for the gang's losses and wants revenge. Worse, Mindy is carrying Steve's unborn child.
Steve isn't about to leave her behind.
Fortunately, he isn't alone. His mother, Paulette, survived the collapse and has gathered her own group of survivors. She's also a former CSIS operative who knows how to shoot, hunt, fight, and survive-and she intends to see her grandchild born.
Together, Steve and his allies begin bringing together the people who have lost family and friends to the bikers. Their goal is no longer simply to survive. They intend to rescue the people The Family has taken and take the fight directly to Pa.
But Uxbridge belongs to The Family now. They have the town, the weapons, and the numbers. And beyond them, the walking dead still roam the roads and abandoned communities of southern Ontario.
In a broken world, Steve has learned that the dead aren't always the greatest threat. Sometimes it's the living who have the most to fear.
From Douglas Owen comes The Family, Book Two of the Broken World series, continuing the Canadian zombie apocalypse that began in The Hordes.
