Notă biografică
Sunil Thomas is a member of the Core Faculty of the Department of Gastroentrology at the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research in Wynnewood, PA and a visiting professor at Temple University. He received his Ph.D from Cochin University of Science and Technology followed by post-doctoral positions at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York. His current research involves development of immunotherapeutic and mRNA-based drugs for ulcerative colitis/colon cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.
Descriere
The human microbiome is influenced by the environmental microbiome, which recognizes environmental elements as part of a complex ecosystem impacting human health. Microbiomes include species across all major kingdoms. Recent research is strengthening the idea that associated microorganisms make these contributions.
