Porja immigrates to the Bronx, watching the post-war baby she didn't want assimilate into a world she cannot comprehend.
With Porja's journals translated, Hannah uncovers her father's deeply buried trauma, and her grandmother's parallel struggles of mothering in an unstable world. Armed with Ancestral Intelligence, Hannah must decide what repair looks like.
