Tim Holden is the tallest kid in class, and the most bored, dissolving into tears every day after school for the six weeks he is forced to attend. His parents decide to homeschool him, but neither wants the job. They hire Scott Flanders, an unemployed philosopher, to tutor their son. Soon, Scott discovers there is much more to Tim than meets the eye.
