Nate Abbot first becomes aware of his unique dreaming gift as a teenager when he meets his first love Libby, a sleepwalker. Years later, when she visits Nate in his dreams, Libby is a spirit or possibly a figment of Nate's imagination. A strange twist happens when Nate takes his wife Katherine and their two kids on a camping trip to the Black Rock Desert, where they find themselves stranded with a murderer and horrible surrealistic disaster.
