The Downward Spiral is Book 2 in the Power Struggle Series. In Power Struggle, an EMP attack on the United States successfully destroyed the power grid on the East Coast and wiped out most modern electronic resources that people had come to rely on for their day to day survival. As society collapsed around them, the Stone family and a small group of neighbors banded together on the outskirts of the City of Boston. Together they managed to survive in the face of great hardship and danger. The Downward Spiral picks up the post-apocalyptic story a few weeks after the end of Power Struggle. The Stone family and the remaining neighbors of Oak Tree Lane continue their struggle for survival in a fallen world, which constantly challenges their morality and ethics. When one of the neighbors is seriously injured, it will force the group to make difficult choices that could jeopardize the safety and security of their small community.
