Notă biografică
Paul Bock is a former U.S. Army Special Forces soldier and Green Beret who completed multiple combat rotations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria and later served as an instructor during Special Forces selection. After leaving military service, he was recruited into a research project involving unidentified anomalous phenomena, giving him direct access to people, practices, and ideas shaping the modern UAP disclosure movement. He holds a master's degree in biblical studies and serves as chaplain to a Christian metal band.
Those qualifications explain how Bock entered this investigation, but they do not explain why he remained in it. Behind his professional training are years of war, a marriage that collapsed during an early deployment, the death of a Navy explosive ordnance technician whose skill had repeatedly protected Bock's team, and a return to faith during a period when he was attempting to rebuild what had been broken.
That history is why Bock does not write about trauma, the search for healing, or the promise of a new identity as weaknesses belonging to people he cannot understand. He has seen why strong, highly trained men may enter dangerous spiritual practices when those practices promise relief from pain that ordinary answers have failed to reach.
