Eight years ago, acclaimed artist Kate Kevlin vanished from her blood-soaked studio in Ireland. A body was never found. The clues left behind were as dark and mysterious as her paintings.

In Paris, disgraced film director Tony Morant once formed half of a power couple with his wife Kate, but her disappearance led to his murder trial and the implosion of his career. Tony is trying to move on with his life, but when an unexpected visitor from the past arrives at his apartment his life will be turned upside down.

In Geneva, art dealer Luke Shone, who built a career around his obsession with Kate's work, is invited to view a previously unseen - and thus priceless - Kate Kevlin painting. Luke has no idea that this is the first step on a dangerous journey that will risk his life.

In wild West Cork, Ireland, journalist Audrey Walsh is also trying to rebuild her life. Little does she know that investigating the unexplained death of a local eccentric, 'Bird Lady' Mary, will send Audrey crashing into a race to uncover the truth about Kate's disappearance.

As the stakes rise, all three will enter the crosshairs of an organisation whose devotion to arts and culture hides a dark heart and a dangerous mastery of ancient rites and rituals.
