The Daughter Bond

Autor C. P. Florez
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 21 mar 2023
The Daughter Bond is a thought-provoking and compelling tale about the strength of women and their capacity to heal. After her mother's funeral, Latina psychologist Irene Míral is more determined than ever to make the new PTSD unit she heads at Lakeside Hospital a success. As Irene works to restore normalcy to the lives of eight traumatized Hispanic women, she has to fight for her program's survival and the dignity of the women under her care. She did not expect to encounter professional peril in the person of Walter Freile, the entitled and biased supervising psychiatrist. Hoping to find answers to her mother's strange perceptual experiences and possibly a link to her patients' flashbacks, Irene accepts an invitation to collaborate on a paranormal research project. The work is intense, and she and her research partner, David, grow closer than she ever anticipated. Soon, Irene finds herself in an emotional storm. Grappling with disconcerting emotions regarding David and professional upheaval at Lakeside, she faces a crossroads in her life's journey. The consequences are unforeseen; the repercussions are staggering.
