"It was one little white lie, but it became much, much more..." Thomas Cambridge is a cowboy rancher who enjoys the freedom that single life can give him. However, his mother does not feel the same way and she is determined to see her son get married and start a family. So much so, that she is coming to visit him and she is set to demand he marry his ex-girlfriend. To avoid this fate, Thomas hires cute Tech student Cara Williams to be his "temporary bride" while his mother visits.
