The Compass is an inspirational story of what's possible when you choose to follow your heart and ignore the voice of the "townspeople." This modern day fairy tale is set in a quaint village, where for the majority of citizens, every day is the same. This all changes when Emily discovers a magical compass then chooses to follow it. For the girl, this choice leads her to the riches of her dreams, but as she soon discovers, the compass spins wildly for those who are unwilling to follow it. Readers of the book are challenged on the last page as the girl returns to the compass to the waist high grass and asks, "Will you be the next to find it?"
