Notă biografică
Bengt Sundelius is director of the International Graduate School and associate professor of political science at the University of Stockholm. He has served on the faculties of Bradley University and the University of Washington and is an external research associate of the Swedish Institute of International Affairs. His previous publications with Westview Press include Managing Transnationalism in Northern Europe, Foreign Policies of Northern Europe, and The Neutral Democracies and the New Cold War.

This book is a collection of essays by Swedish and American academics begins by putting into its historical perspective the classic definition of Swedish foreign policy as freedom from alliance in peace, aiming for neutrality in war and it helps to gain new insights on the Sweden's foreign policy.
