After witnessing a murder, Lew Piper's girlfriend is shot and left for dead by hired killers. He hides her while she recovers from her wounds but the killers are being protected by his former comrades in US intelligence. They hide in Hawaii while she recovers her memory. The killers continue to look for her until they are mysteriously terminated. Meanwhile, his girlfriend ignores him. Until he finds a new companion, that is.
