They are imaginative reconstructions, assembled with the help of artificial intelligence and shaped by the author, built from the most defensible layers of the surviving record - the parables and the woes, the Sermon on the Mount, the Gospel of Mary, the Gospel of Thomas, the prophetic tradition of Amos and Isaiah and Micah - and then extended, deliberately and openly, toward a world those two never saw.
