"A self-help guide for survivors of traumatic divorce." S. Ford Hewlett is a retired clergyman who lived out the trauma of divorce which ended a forty-one year marriage in 2003. The nine chapters of the Broken Band are an account of his journey to wholeness after experiencing brokenness in spirit, soul and body. He believes that he is not an exception to the experience of pain associated with a traumatic divorce. He believes that if he, a man in his mid- sixties, could journey into wholeness of spirit, soul and body, then it is possible for anyone.
