The year is 1948. Somewhere in Chicago, Il, ex-moonshine runner and WWII vet Matt Corvin goes legit hoping to deliver the goods in a road race along U. S. Route 66. pursued by mobsters determined to end his trip and his life, he maneuvers his way toward San Francisco with the help of the beautiful red-haired Callie.
