Lisa J. Scott is an author, attorney, entrepreneur, and systems thinker whose work explores the hidden architectures beneath everyday life.
With academic backgrounds in Anthropology, Chinese Studies, and Law, Lisa has spent her career studying how people, organizations, institutions, and societies coordinate through systems that are often invisible to those operating within them. Her professional experience spans law, business consulting, organizational transformation, mergers and acquisitions, governance, contracts, and operational design.
As the founder of In2edge, a consulting execution firm focused on business transitions and complex organizational change, Lisa has spent decades helping companies navigate the systems beneath growth, restructuring, governance, risk, and execution. That work ultimately inspired a broader question: if every organization operates through systems, what other parts of life do as well?
That question became the foundation of the Operating System Collection.
Through books such as The Constitutional Operating System, The Courtroom Operating System, The Impossible Operating System, The Aging OS, The Creative OS, The Services Business Operating System, and many others, Lisa explores the structures beneath subjects that are often misunderstood, politicized, oversimplified, or taken for granted. Her writing focuses less on opinion and more on architecture--revealing the incentives, layers, processes, and patterns that shape visible outcomes.
