Muhammad Mahran Aslam is a Distinguished Researcher under the IAEA-ECUT program and a Ph.D. scholar at East China University of Technology (ECUT), China. His research focuses on nuclear waste remediation, working on various strategies to decontaminate radionuclides like iodine, uranium, and cesium-137, and exploring phytoremediation strategies using indigenous plants. He also serves at the Nuclear Institute of Agriculture (NIA), PAEC, leading projects on Brassica breeding, utilizing radiation-induced mutations for improved oilseed crops. His expertise extends to nuclear applications in modern agriculture, soil health maintenance, agro-waste management, and phytoremediation. With 40+ publications, 100+ impact factor, and 4 years of foreign research experience, Aslam has published in leading journals and serves as an editorial board member and reviewer. His extensive expertise in nuclear agriculture, radiation-induced crop improvement, and environmental sustainability positions him as a key contributor to advancing resilient food systems and clean environmental solutions.
Liu Yibao earned his Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University, and he is currently a visiting scholar at the University of Muenster, Germany. He was former dean at the School of Nuclear Science and Engineering, East China University of Technology. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chinese Society of Radiation Protection, a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Nuclear Technology. He and his team won the second prize at the National Teaching Achievements, the first prize at the Provincial Teaching Achievements, and the second prize at the Provincial Colleges and Universities Scientific and Technological Achievements. He has published 3 academic books, more than 150 scientific and technical papers, 6 authorized patents, and supervised more than 100 doctoral and master's degree students.
