The Anti-Refugee Machine

Editat de Tricia Redeker Hepner, Magnus Treiber
en Limba Engleză Hardback – feb 2027
The Anti-Refugee Machine is a frame for interpretation and analysis to grasp the apparent coincidence of often deliberate entanglements, pragmatic complicities, and unexpected forms of agency or resistance in the sphere of global migration. This book addresses how interventions to control migration and regulate mobility worsen the conditions of displacement, exacerbate capitalist exploitation, and further undermine the political and legal basis for recognition and rights. To this end, the study gathers comparative and translocal case studies from the Global South-North to critically analyse contemporary migration through a wide range of empirical, ethnographic cases that share patterned histories, similarities and relationships.
