Jrld Villic is a linguist who volunteers for a trip to a distant planet to help a ship load of scientists study the new life forms discovered. The story follows the adventures of the shape shifting Villic from one Anomaly to another as the trip uncovers additional planets to explore. Villic is a member of an Avian culture that lost their wings.
