Paris 1977: Queen of French cinema Madeleine Marvell comes to lunch and reveals that schoolgirl Charlotte's whole life is based on a lie. She tells the girl to ask her father about 'the Amazone'. Neither parent will explain. Charlotte is determined to uncover the truth.
