Section one contains the following: a dedication; a preface; an introduction; a description of tools, equipment, and alchemical glassware to be used in distillation; a definition list of technical terms & a number of rules to be considered in the art of distillation.
Sections two, three, four, and five details methods & processes of creating a wide variety of distilled waters, spirits, oils, and acids from the three kingdoms (vegetable, animal, and mineral/metals).
The sixth section describes a number of unique spagyric curiosities, experiments, and other particulars.
The seventh section is entirely dedicated to experiments involving gold & silver. In this chapter John French describes to us a number of processes involving the use of silver & gold.
