Instead of concentrating on only a few treatments, "The ADD/ADHD Revolution" provides comprehensive information on a wide range of options. In clear and easy-to-understand language, the Kirkpatricks answer such questions as costs involved, providers of the various treatments, how the treatments work, and pros and cons of their use. Both informative and user friendly, parents and primary care providers alike will find this book to be useful for navigating the maze of therapies available for ADHD. Many parents are eager to find out if there are alternatives to drug (stimulant) therapy for ADHD. This book will give them a lifeline as they begin their search. Many of these therapies can also be used as adjuncts to traditional therapy as well as an alternative. Today's primary care providers will want to have this text on their shelves to answer questions from parents struggling with a child with ADHD.-Robin J. McAlister, M.D., Board Certified Family Physician
This well-written and informative book is a must read for parents, school counselors, and family therapists. I wish I had had it when my own children were young.-Felicia Lincoln, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, University of Arkansas
Successfully compiling both traditional and alternative approaches, "The ADD/ADHD Revolution" is the most complete review of treatment options for ADHD that I have seen. This book will help me offer other treatment options to my adult patients. It is a wonderful tool to be used in clinical practice as well as being a template for further research in this common disorder.-James B. Baker, D.O., Internal Medicine
