Karen Marie Matthews is Executive Director of One Bread Lay Apostolate, a Catholic lay non-profit organization dedicated to evangelizing the gospel as taught by the Catholic Church. The organization is also committed to ecumenism and strives to bring all Christians to greater unity to fulfill Jesus' desire that his disciples be one: "I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd." John 10:16 Karen works full-time as a technical writer, runs a part-time souvenir business, and is the author of a children's book entitled "The Legend of Lizard Lick: A North Carolina Folktale." She is a wife, a daughter, a mother, and most importantly a child of God.
