that which appears

that which appears gathers four sequences of poetry by Thomas A Clark, reflecting his walks through Scotland's varied landscapes. The poems attend to the evidence of nature, from 'snow on moss on stone' to 'small continual adjustments, ' revealing a deep connection to place.

Clark's work explores how environmental damage can be repaired through careful attention and an ethic of care. Can poetry generously respond to the particularity of a place? Can it provide spaces that welcome and celebrate the natural world? This collection invites readers to contemplate the beauty and fragility of the Scottish landscape. Perfect for lovers of nature poetry and those seeking a deeper connection to the environment.
