To those who ask me what this book is about, I tell that it is about my father and the story may be very uplifting and perhaps of help to readers who are going through the dark experience of having a family member afflicted by Alzheimer. This horrific disease cannot presently be cured, but it can be tamed. The secret, I think, is in the amount of commitment and devotion the family has toward the person afflicted. If this love is enough, then one will learn to accept, without shame, all the changes that Alzheimer will bring. And, if one adds a little cheerfulness, then the results may even defy reason.
