Volume II part 2 contains the second half of what is accepted as the second part of Freylinghausen’s “Neues Geist=reiches Gesang=Buch” (New Spiritual Hymnal) in its first edition from 1714. The volume contains the Rubrics XXXVIII to LXI with 381 hymn texts presented in stanza form as well as 71 continuo settings, the melodies of which are notated in treble clef as is common today, with the text under the notes.
