A captivating novel about a Vietnam War veteran suffering from PTSD. His trauma quickly turns into a terrifying assault on society, taking the form of rape and, in time, murder. Using the skills he gained while serving in Special Forces, the ex-soldier is able to avoid apprehension. The novel is based on the real life East Area Rapist, a calculating criminal who terrorized Northern California in the late 70s and early 80s and has yet to be identified.
