In 2023, I had long passed achieving all the goals I had in Jiu Jitsu, teaching and running a school full time. I decided to return to university to begin a new chapter but I wondered what was it that changed? How had the zest of living my life's biggest dream fizzled out? I began writing this book for myself to investigate the truths of teaching, the teacher, and the student, with the intention of arriving back at the wonderous vigor and passion that I experienced during the first years of starting my own school. Upon completion, I effortlessly returned to that same state that had once eluded me, and as the words helped some others in my circle, I chose to release it to the public.
