Dickie, the quirky girl hero of Dickie, A Novel, is back. This time she faces an evil genius who kidnaps her dog and embroils her in a race against time to save friends, family, and ultimately life and limb. She finds help in the form af an old high-school flame, now the head honcho of the Doohickie, Indiana police force; her trusty dog Widge; and a mysterious new acquaintance who ups the ante by infusing the situation with his own magical secrets.
