Succulent Singles

Autor Frances Amaroux
en Limba Engleză Paperback – sep 2026
Succulent Singles - The Relationships We Have When We're Not in a Relationship is a warm, witty and honest guide for people who want connection, affection, touch, sex or companionship - without pretending that every meaningful relationship has to become a marriage, a mortgage or a shared towel collection.
CuddleBuddies. BonkBuddies. Friends with Benefits. Intimate friendships. Relationships that are real, even when they are not traditional.
These arrangements can be delightful. They can also become confusing, painful or unexpectedly complicated when people avoid the conversations that matter.
With humour, compassion and a healthy respect for human messiness, Frances Amaroux explores how to make these relationships more conscious, kind and satisfying - through clearer agreements, better boundaries, honest communication and the courage to ask for what you actually want.
Not everyone will want this kind of relationship.
But if you do, this book is here to help you have the most satisfaction - and the least suffering.

Notă biografică

Frances Amaroux, BA Psych, has spent more than 35 years exploring the strange, glorious and occasionally bewildering business of being human. Her work has ranged across counselling, relationship coaching, sexuality, communication, conflict, personal development, facilitation and community building. Along the way she has trained in psychology, social ecology, somatic psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, NLP and assorted other ways of exploring why otherwise sensible human beings can become quite spectacularly confused when relationships are involved. As an also slightly unconventional human being - she has plumbed the depths as a musician, educator, seminar leader, inner-world-explorer, irreverent question-asker, and someone constitutionally incapable of staying inside one disciplinary box.For many years she worked through LoveCoaching.com, helping people create relationships with more honesty, pleasure, emotional intelligence and hopefully less unnecessary suffering. She is particularly interested in what happens when we stop treating being single as the waiting room before "real life" begins, and start asking instead: What would it look like to make this part of life genuinely delicious? These days Frances also writes more broadly about consciousness, human behaviour and the systems we create around ourselves - usually while asking awkward questions about things everyone else seems to have agreed not to question. Her forthcoming book, The Solution to Almost Everything - Designing Systems that Serve Life, explores how those systems shape our lives, our relationships and our collective future - and how we might design them rather better. She lives in Bellingen, Australia, where she writes, thinks, laughs at humanity - including herself - and remains deeply committed to the profound power of honest, kind, conscious relationships.
