Structural and Cognitive Narratology in Classics: Theorising the Greek and Roman Classics
Autor Lisa Irene Hauen Limba Engleză Hardback – 29 ian 2027
Chapters include an overview and explication of the most common terms and concepts in narratology within a classical context, as well as four case studies that offer a more in-depth demonstration of the application of narratology to ancient texts. By explaining the key terms and methods of narratology in ancient Greek and Roman literature, this volume shows how it is possible to apply the theory to ancient texts while keeping in mind their historical and cultural situatedness, thus bringing out fresh insights.
This book is suitable for scholars and students of ancient Greek and Roman literature, particularly those who want to incorporate narratology in their work.
