Harlem residents develop a block association to deflect unwholesome activity in their neighborhood. Their diverse backgrounds, blurred sense of loyalties and precarious friendships magnify problems brought upon them from within and without. Through humor they survive an erosion of their values, exposure of family secrets and deadly street violence.
