Strategien der Kirchen
Autor Fritz Lienhardde Limba Germană Paperback – 25 sep 2026
[Church Strategies. Basic Attitudes Between Resistance and Conformity in Modern Times]
'How are others doing it?' This is the question Protestant churches are asking in times of crisis. This book therefore examines four characteristic strategies in modern times: the ' ¿dream of Compostelä as one component - among others - of Roman Catholicism, liberal adaptation to modernity as a particular form of Protestantism, evangelical evangelisation, as it is particularly present in the USA, and the Pentecostal movements, as they are widespread worldwide and especially in the global South.
Strengths and weaknesses are explored on the basis of the criteria of communicating the Gospel and a culture of participation. In discussing these strategies, the theological question of the holiness of the church arises - between dynamics of exclusion and God's forgiving presence.
