Notă biografică

Nick Cave, 1957 in Australien geboren, steht seit über 40 Jahren auf der Bühne, u. a. als Songwriter und Sänger von Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. 'Ghosteen', das aktuelle Album der Band, gilt als ihr bislang bestes. Caves Werk umfasst verschiedene Disziplinen, wie etwa Filmmusik und diverse Romane. Bei Kiepenheuer & Witsch erschien zuletzt 'The Sick Bag Song / Das Spucktütenlied'. Bei seinen jüngsten 'Conversations With Nick Cave'-Abenden und auf seiner Website Red Hand Files sucht er ungewöhnlich tiefen und direkten Kontakt zu seinen Fans.
Christian Lux studierte Buchwissenschaft und Literatur in Mainz. Danach Herausgeber des Insel Almanachs, Verleger des Luxbooks Verlags und freier Übersetzer. Seit Jahren betätigt er sich als Vermittler angloamerikanischer Literatur.  Zuletzt Bände von Amy Hempel, Stevie Smith, Leonard Cohen.

It features full colour reproductions of original artwork, handwritten lyrics, photographs and collected personal artefacts along with commentary and meditations from Nick Cave, Janine Barrand and Darcey Steinke.

The book has been developed and curated by Nick Cave in collaboration with Christina Back. The images were selected from 'Stranger Than Kindness: The Nick Cave Exhibition', opening at the Royal Danish Library in Copenhagen in March 2020.
