On Christmas Eve, Elise, a 49-year-old aspiring writer haunted by her son's overdose and a failed marriage, sets out to write something hopeful for once. But when a hooded stranger leaves a blank book in the Little Free Library outside her suburban home, the night turns strange and consuming. Drawn from the comfort of her fireplace into the bleak streets of Seattle, Elise finds herself confronting the ghosts of her past and the raw truth that some stories can't be written until they're survived.
