Dreams can never hurt you. At least, that's what Ashling's mother had told her. Ashling's dreamy, introverted personality has sometimes made her feel distant from her friends, but has never felt out of place. Not until the night of her twenty-first birthday, when she accepts a glass of wine from a strange old god. That was when dreams as she had known them stopped. It wasn't until a few attempts of trial-and-error and a conversation with a cat that Ashling realized she was leaving her body as she slept. As Ashling sees a side of her world she has never known before, darker creatures begin to take notice of her as well. Ashling must accept the help of a god in need if she wants to hope to survive. But is the pact he offers more than she is willing to bargain for?
