Still I Rise offers a humorous, heart wrenching, and frightfully honest first hand look into the unthinkable. Much of the content consists of moments that I remember from the journey I walked with an eating disorder. I was mostly aware and coherent during this time of my life, but some moments were plagued by the disorder. Throughout the book you will see that I did not "sugar-coat" anything. The book is vulnerable and hasn't been censored by any means. I want people to understand the depth of an eating disorder and how it impacts everyone in some way. Now that I am in recovery, yes, recovery, I want to share with others the darkness and torture that I experienced for six years with my eating disorder and personal demons. I hope to inspire you to embrace whatever you may be facing and to fight for your life. You're worth it.
