The Shoebox Chronicles got it's name because it started out as a shoebox that was broken down into five categories: Marriage, Family, Manners, Lifestyle, and Self-Care. Each time author Patsy Stackhouse had an idea, she wrote it down on a piece of paper and dropped it into the shoebox.
