One of a three part martial arts series, Mind-Body-Spirit, this book of the Spirit looks at the non-physical part of a person that lies at the seat of emotions and character. Spirit under this definition is divided into two approaches that we seek to positively develop through martial arts training. The first is the attitude or intentions we bring to something that is used as motivation to drive us towards a goal. The second is the animating force within all living things that is the outward energy and enthusiasm we bring to an activity.
