Spearhead, who can shift shape to war machine, is drinking with Tailspin when the evening is interrupted by paramilitary assassins. At first the team is inclined to attribute it to one of their old enemies, but the trails lead too far, and too high up, and the forces that keep surging against them are too well-equipped....
