She has been an environmental educator, writer, and storyteller.During her childhood, her parents took their family on camping trips and nature hikes in our great national and state parks all over the United States. At an early age, she felt a kinship with trees, birds, and other animals. When she was 3 years old, she met the giant sequoia trees for the first time.
