Sheriff Enoch Hardy is a man with a reputation. He is known all around as an honest, ethical lawman and a convicted man of faith. However, the death of a young boy from a failed faith healing causes Enoch to question his own convictions about how people practice religion. While conducting a spiritually challenging investigation, Enoch begins to realize that the people responsible for the boy's death may be ready and more than willing to take their transgressions a step further. When violence begins to find the Sheriff's friends and loved ones, he realizes it is up to him to bring the tense situation to an end.
