Two aimless young people, a man escaping a laborer's life, and a woman escaping her own murder, meet on an Illinois highway in a converted school bus filled with prospective ecovillagers. Their present threatens to be worse than their pasts as they are relentlessly pursued by a policeman bent on mayhem, toward an uncertain future in the Colorado Rockies.
