Skippy and the Man-with-the-Cap are park bench buddies on the beautiful Brooklyn Heights Promenade. Their unlikely friendship is cut short one day when Skippy fails to show up for peanuts and avocado. Several weeks pass by and saddened by the sudden disappearance of his furry friend, the Man-with-the-Cap asks Red, the flaming red cardinal, if he has seen the friendly squirrel. Not even Red, who lives hight in the treetop, has seen the squirrel. Then, one day Skippy re-appears on the promenade...but he is not alone.
