The main character, Sir Dudley Duncan Donkey is a lovable, brave leader in the barnyard society. Each of the five chapters deals with a different dilemma to solve. A morale lesson is learned as the animals bond together to conquer the "bad guys" and solve various problems. Each character has a unique personalty. The illustrations are superb showing scenes from farm to swamp to beach.
