Exiles cross borders, become non-mainstream individuals and break through barriers of thought and experience. This volume presents an interesting combination of original writer’s essays (by Tzveta Sofronieva, Goran Stefanovski, Dubravka Ugresic) and academic discussions on the function of such narratives, seeking answers to a number of academic questions, related to the construction of the Self in processes of cultural translation/transmission.
