The voices were becoming clearer now; one or two of the bits of chat I heard gave me the idea that whoever they were they weren't Quakers. They most certainly had never seen the inside of a Freemasons Lodge. They were definitely on to 'Something' and judging by the amount of 'Ready' being mentioned that 'Something' was worth a bit of my listening time. So I stuck another of Jack's snouts in my mouth, set fire to it and cocked both 'A.S.D.I.C.S.' Turning the volume knob in my brain up to full strength, I soon cottoned on to the gist of it and the more I heard the clearer the picture became.They were obviously planning a 'snatch' and although no time or place had so far been picked up on my invisible head-phones, words like ... 'Costa' ... 'Riviera' ... and short sentences like 'Peace of Cake' 'Seventy Thousand Pounds' and 'Easy - get - away' painted a picture of the idle rich for me.Moreover, that meant an endless supply of booze, snouts and birds (the wing-less kind) in that order.
