Malia B. Crandall faced one significant trauma after another from the time she was born. She first experienced physical and emotional abuse from her mother and grandmother; before she even entered school, she suffered ongoing sexual abuse that taught her to choose the wrong kind of men in her life, which resulted in a long-term marriage marred by unrelenting abuse.
